Hand-held battery powered transillumination device for imaging of veins and assisting with venous access. It utilizes the patented transillumination technique known as side-transillumination, which enables the Veinlite LED to uniformly illuminate a small region of skin and subcutaneous tissue without any areas of shadow - allowing better visualization of veins than any other transillumination method
The Veinlite uses dual color LED lights to illuminate veins through the 21 mm opening. (The ring measures 21 mm at the inside of the widest part and 15 mm the narrowest part of the opening.) Orange LED's (12) for viewing superficial veins and red LEDs (12) for viewing deeper veins. Two switches allow for selection of either or both colors for optimum vein imaging in the smallest patients. This lightweight device has a rechargeable battery available in either 110 volt or 220 volt. Dimension of the unit is approximately 3.75" H x 2.17" W x 0.83" D.
The hand-held Veinlite LED comes with a Veinlite unit, a pediatric adapter to reduce the size of the opening for use with pediatric patients; a snap in Light Shield to block brighter lights for better vein viewing and protective covers to protect the unit from contamination.
